Why did the band Savage Garden break up?

"In October 2001, Savage Garden officially announced their break up and the duo went their separate ways. Darren began work on his first solo album, the first single 'Insatiable' was released in 2002 and the album, entitled 'Spin' was released the same year."

Why did the band Savage Garden break up?
Daniel Jones made his intentions to leave the band during the Affirmation tour. He stopped going to press conferences, interviews etc... until the break up was announced in October 2001. Darren made the announcement in a supposed closed interview with an Australian journalist. Report Abuse

Reply:I could be wrong, but i heard that the guitar guy was driving with a friend once and he had an accident in which the friend died. The guitar guy lost his speech for sometime, but is in therepy now, they didn't break-up or anything. Just circumstances. But plz verify this.
