Is ROMANCE really dead?

This morning i was listening to a really romantic song (Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden) on my ipod and i like wanted to cry cuz i was like "OMG i have never experienced something really mind-blowingly romantic with someone". What do you think.... Is romance dead?

Is ROMANCE really dead?
No, some people still know how to be romantic.
Reply:Well, dear, you and I are both gay, so it's even more hard to find true romance. But trust me -- it still exists.

A lot of people are so damned impatient nowadays. They take on so many activities and responsibilities that they just have no time to relax and indulge in more laid-back, leisurely pursuits. I used to be one of them, until I realized how much I simply wasn't enjoying life.

Anyway, the impatience I mentioned also extends to people's love lifes and sexual encounters -- they just want to have their fun and get on with other matters, or they aren't willing to find more time for this because they really don't care about the other person's enjoyment -- they're just self-centered on their own pleasure. Rather sad, actually.

I won't depress you further by mentioning little things my partner and I have always done for each other. But I will say this -- when you find someone who DOES like to actually romance you, you're going to need to romance him back. Oh, and if you're trying any of the various online resources to find someone, be sure your profile or text actually mentions that romance is important to you -- no one's going to read your mind, my dear. :-)
Reply:No, I don't think it's "dead".

It's not making it through so well however. People are finding lust and are confusing true love with infatuation.

It's sad to read about all the divorce rates. It just seems like people are too afraid to work out problems in their marriage. Long loving relationships aren't seen so often anymore.

And I think if more people believe in it a little more, and let it come to them, they'll find true happiness.
Reply:First of all, i LOVE that song. And I thought the same thing! No, I don't think it's dead, I just think that there are less people in the world that can experience those true feelings.

The good side to that though, is once you meet someone like that, you KNOW it's for real.
Reply:Hmmm not I do not think so! My bf planned a weekend trip to Niagara Falls on our 6 year anniversary and even though we spent the day walking shopping and going out a night, pretty normal, I just felt so friken loved and happy about the whole world just to get away with him! It is a feeling inside and not always what you are doing. And it does feel amazing and it does exist! :) keep your heart open!
Reply:Oh wow!

I was just listening to that song and thinking to myself that how come I never fell in love. Sounds cheesy but I'm not kidding.
Reply:Yes. Give it up already.
Reply:No romance is just sleeping.
Reply:Dead or in zombie form =(
Reply:No, Romance is not dead. Just hard to find.
