Am I the only one that thinks Linkin Park's new CD sucks?

Ill probably get raped for this because Linkin Park fans are a$$holes when you diss the band but seriously, the first few albums were original and hardcore.





This album is soft, mainstream, and unoriginal while completely lacking the power chords and strong vocals that made them famous. I am reminded of Savage Garden each time I hear it.

Am I the only one that thinks Linkin Park's new CD sucks?
They failed to deliver the goods, it doesn't sound like Linkin park at all, beatiful singing from Chester as always, but the musical effects were poor.

why do people answer if they 1: hate the band, or 2: havent heard the album
Reply:No, you're not the only one...except I think all of their past CD's suck too.
Reply:Without Mike there it's not expected that people are going to be missing LP's old sound.





I think that a change like this was somewhat expected considering that they'd said that they'd be changing their style around without Mike there to really influence them.





But I'll agree, this new album definitely doesn't have the same feel to it like the old ones, even Reanimation had more of an edge to it compared to this new album.
Reply:The sound of the new album is going to be very different as the whole sound is more raw, you can tell the instruments and vocals have much much less effects and editing on them, its more just them and there instruments with much less of the different levels added to it.





P.S. Mike shinoda didnt leave the band and he IS in the new album

Reply:The cd's out already?! I thought it was due May 15th. Anyway, since I've only heard their 'What I've Done' I can't speak much for it yet. I am a huge LP fan and I'm not really that sold on this single yet.





I hate to hear this kind of review, but I've heard a similar thought on one of my Sirius stations. I'll still buy it regardless..*sigh*
